Structural design is provided as well as drawings and specifications to be used in new construction. For existing structures, reports are provided on existing conditions and structural design is provided for repair.

Dockside Harbor Walk

The Dockside Harbor Walk is a concrete pier and bulkhead complex that both serves the Dockside condominiums and continues the City of Charleston’s harbor walk concept. It extends from the Charleston Maritime Center to near the site of the Fort Sumter Tour Boat facility. The structural system consists of pre-stressed concrete piles and cast-in-place concrete pier and bulkhead structures.

4SE has been part of the team completing an in-depth study of Charleston's seawalls. The work involved extensive historical research and has additionally included surveyors, divers, historians, and geotechnical engineers. The work continues with the preparation for the rebuilding of the seawall at the point of the Battery.

Designed for HS20 highway loadings, the Holiday Inn Bridge is a three span concrete bridge that provides access to the Mt. Pleasant Holiday Inn Complex, including heavy delivery vehicles.
